Iona is a keen traveller and lives in Central London.
As a result of being dragged screaming and kicking to the family holiday home in North Wales each school holiday up to the age of 18, she has made up for lost time by backpacking around 90 countries.
Iona is a keen diver and a qualified Dive Master and has dived 25 countries, her favourite dive destination being the South Pacific - where you will find her each December. Her best memories of backpacking are a 9 month solo stint around South America, and 3 months in Australasia.
Iona has been known to work between trips: her work has taken her to some very nice places, Miami, Cayman, Zurich, the Czech Republic, Madagascar and some um..interesting places such as Pakistan and South Africa. She is happiest sitting on a dive boat, enjoying the sun, chatting about the dive during the surface interval. In her spare time, Iona writes travel and dive articles and restaurant reviews.
