I left school in 1972 and worked at the same company for 15 years. Then I joined Globetrotters, quit the job, put my backpack on and went travelling round Europe for 6 months.
I have been a member ever since, but these days travel is mostly limited to the Central Line in London with occasional breaks to Harrogate and Barcelona.
In 2004 I saw the ad in Globe saying that the club needed a treasurer. I thought, I could do that. And here I am doing it.
