I am the owner of a traditional wooden Indonesian 27 metre 'Bugis schooner' phinisi sailing boat. Which was built in the traditional ways on the beach in South Sulawesi.
I am planning trips to the Maluku islands starting in November 2002.
Anyone willing to pay only 25$ u.s. per person per day which includes everything on board (except the beer) should check this out as the adventure of a lifetime.
We need 8 passengers to be able to make trips at this price, and an itinerary can be arranged to suit them.
I was thinking of approx 3 weeks to do a really good trip starting from our base in Bira, South Sulawesi, stopping at loads of places including some or all of the following islands:-
FLORES,Wetar,Damar,Kisar,Leti,Moa,Lakor,Luang,Kapala,Secomata,Babar,Selaru,Yamdena,ARU,KAI,BANDA. However everything is flexible.
Please let me have any feedback or if you need any more info. We are really excited about doing these trips and are looking for people with the same sense of adventure to share them with us.
Us - includes myself, my partner Robert, a slightly myopic cat, a one-legged parrot and our indonesian crew.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Jenni
